Seemingly simple in design, fishing boats are actually some of the most complex vessels currently being built. Created for providing exceptional practicality and usability for fishing enthusiasts, sport fishing boats of today have become ever larger and more spectacular in terms of their design and appearance. That leaves a bit more room for the creation of mid-sized fishing boats for smaller companies such as Jupiter.

Florida-based business, operating for more than 35 years now, Jupiter has earned its experience through designing and building rather appealing multi-purpose offshore sportfishing boats. The 34 footer may be smaller in size than other modern sportfishing boats (usually measuring more than 38 feet in size), but her interior arrangement, features and sophistication scream luxury and practicality.

With the five main stages of production (from lamination to assembling), the company had to develop some new techniques and incorporate the newest technology into the design to stay competitive on the market. The main composition of the boat is actually made up of three parts. The Jupiter 34 LX hull is completely separate from the deck and the liner during the production process. This enables ergonomics and the designers to utilise space more efficiently to provide more room for the crew.

Although the boat does not have inboard engines but is rather powered by three massive outboard Yamaha F300 4-Stroke engines with each giving a punch of 300 hp, the cockpit is easily accessible by the side port doors which are large enough even for loading a tuna. Five “rocket launchers” on the superstructure can easily be reached while all the rods and fishing equipment have more or less their dedicated place on the sides of the cockpit. Following the interesting philosophy of "No Wood - No Rot" construction, Jupiter did not integrate any wood in the boat. As such, the hull, the deck and every other piece is made of Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester. Durability, exceptionally affordable and fuss-free maintenance are the main advantages of the Jupiter fishing boats - the 34 LX included. Dedication to keeping all the hardware of the boat as rustproof as possible made Jupiter integrate all new electrical equipment. Tin-coating wiring, along with aluminum fuel tanks lined with epoxy will keep the main gear safe from salt and ensure the longevity of all elements.

“No Wood - No Rot” philosophy is even apparent at the helm station which is dominated by two seats and two massive screens behind sturdy commands for engines and all other hardware. Left of the helm station is a small sink with a storage space underneath that can be converted into a fridge - very convenient for long haul voyages and overnight stays out on the water. 

The bow lounge, protected from the wind by a windscreen can host three passengers in comfort. Even under the seats, positioned deep in the deck, is large storage space (optionally cooled) perfect for storing drinks. Of course, the audio system is rigged throughout the boat with the bow lounge having three speakers, although, only the helmsman is able to control it. This is not, after all, just a boat for chilling out.

If in fact, “chilling” is what passengers want, the main saloon at the port side, with large doors leading to it directly from the bow lounge, will provide luxury rarely seen on a fishing boat. Equipped with a large wood-like table and a rather spacious sofa, the main saloon offers enough space for the whole crew to dine. The kitchen with a fridge, microwave, sink and a few storage places can accommodate all needs. As expected, the dining table can be converted into a bed with enough space for two to sleep. 

Finally, the full sized flushing toilet with a sink and fresh water shower seal the deal on this one. The Jupiter 34 LX is truly a masterpiece of design, practicality and utmost reliability somehow entwined with luxury any small family could value. 

Being able to withstand high seas and enable the crew to go on long voyages, the Jupiter 34 LX has the fuel capacity of 345 gallons. This feature truly gives an advantage in many aspects. Furthermore, the 50-gallon fresh water tank promises enough resources even for long-haul journeys. She provides a perfect balance between fuel consumption, speed, agility and running angle. This is why, with massively powerful Yamaha marine engines, she accelerates to speeds of up to 57 mph.
